Birthday Treasure Hunt

James and I went to Benicia and made cupcakes and rice krispy treats with his nephews then paddled around the Bay in a canoe. James even named an island after me. How cool is that!! I hid the yummy treats on the island and then we hunted for them with Etahn and Hunter. It was great.

Thanks for everyone's birthday wishes! Hope you enjoy these pics:

Baby Elle was scared to get in the canoe. She's so cute!

Aimee had to hold Elle to keep her feeling safe. Some of the little swells were actually coming over the side of the canoe!

James was so great. He did most of the paddling for all of us.

Here's Ethan getting ready to throw some more large rocks in the tide pools.

Hunter found some bird feathers. A great find on a treasure hunt!

Yeah! We found our treasure an lots of exciting little creatures!

The Perfect Day...

In the bride's own words, "It was the perfect day. I wouldn't change a thing." The wedding, and reception that followed, were absolutely beautiful. In lieu of the professional and digital photos of this great day, and since I know how anxious many of you are, I pulled some still shots from the video footage I took and will post them here. I'll let the photos do the talking...

Shall We Dance?

The morning of a wedding is like a fine dance I like to refer to as The Morning Shuffle: You do this, I'll do that. Grab your partner, swing 'em outta my way. Dosey-Do and now I'm dizzy. Aren't we all is such a tizzy? Shine my shoes and step to the left. What am I forgetting? Oh!- grab my dress!

Only those so far removed from any stress, like myself, can really appreciate the humor in all of the chaos. For some reason, the bride doesn't find me so funny...

The second half of the day I like to refer to as The Wedding Day Waltz: Everyone is all smiles. People move is slow motion. Of course all the annoying or sarcastic things we said all week are all forgotten. :) "Oh, I'm so glad you came! (Honey, what was her name?)"

more to come...
